Castle Age Barbarus

|Level 1||18||15||Increase Power Attacks by 2x (uses 10 stamina)|
|Level 2||19||16||Increase Power Attacks by 2x (uses 10 stamina)|
|Level 3||20||17||Increase Power Attacks by 2x (uses 10 stamina)|
|Level 4||21||18||Increase Power Attacks by 3x (uses 15 stamina)|
At level 2 and 3 his ability does not change much from level 1. As on level 1, while equipped, Power Attacks now use 2 times the stamina and damage is increased by 2 times. But on level 4 you reach the strength of three men. And you might think this hero not worth it. That there is no real gain. You may be confused.
The stamina cost for your increased attack increasing by the same rate, may have you believe there is no real gain except that if you have high stamina you have to click less. Not true. There’s more to this General.
The big benefit of Barbarus that may be overlooked is that the monster attacks once for every one of your attacks. So while your attack gets doubles or tripled, the monster still attacks you and your party only once!
Any monster with a fortification/mana shield/party health bar is going to be a lot easier to kill, thanks to that defense bar being much higher on average. Damage done to you, your ship, your party, by a monster retaliating in response to your attack is cut in half on his first three levels, and a third when Barbarus is on level 4.
Of course, some other heroes provide similar/other/more/better benefits, but if you didn’t get your hands on those (yet), Barbarus may actually be a good acquisition.
